About
Hi again, I'm Mahita ~
I’m a product designer and systems thinker with an M.S. in Integrated Design, Business & Technology from USC. I thrive at the intersection of user needs, emerging technology, and business strategy—turning complex challenges into products people trust, adopt, and love.
My background in healthcare helped me discover that I'm passionate about learning people's stories and using those stories to tailor experiences so they feel comfortable, cared for, and a little less alone. That passion (plus a longing for more creativity in my work) is what led me to design.
These days I get to work on regulated healthcare innovation with partners like Johnson & Johnson, LivaNova, and USC Keck School of Medicine. Alongside that, I design and ship — websites for Angeles University and Rare Genomics, learning experiences for Keck CTSI, and self-initiated little products like Ripple.
I'm looking for product design and product innovation roles where I can keep working at the intersection — especially in health tech, AI, and tools for clinicians. If that sounds like your team, I'd love to chat.
Recognition & education
More about me…
When I'm not designing, I'm usually doing one of these — and honestly, they all sneak their way back into my work.
Music
Making playlists is my favorite thing to do. Something I love to do with mine is arranging them by color. I also occasionally remix favorite songs in GarageBand.
Writing
I write short stories and essays in my free time. Sometimes I post them online, but more often than not I keep them to myself.
Drawing
I've loved drawing for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I drew birthday cards for friends and family — these days I post the odd piece on Instagram.
Painting
Like drawing, I've been painting since I was little — it started with classes in 3rd grade. It's a relaxing way to de-stress, and I occasionally share pieces online.
